Location
The 3-star Regente Hotel Madrid is approximately 5 minutes' walk from the grand Gran Via Boulevard and offers currency exchange and a vending machine. Located not far from a convenient place to shop such as the Plaza de Cibeles, this Madrid hotel provides 169 rooms.
Notable for its location, merely 1.2 km from the Naval Museum in the Islington district, the hotel is a mere 350 metres from the Convent of the Royal Barefoot Nuns (Monasterios de las Descalzas Reales). The Regente Madrid is within reach of Iglesia de San Antonio de Los Alemanes Church, and the Hammam Al Andalus Madrid, where guests can indulge in relaxation, stands 750 metres away. Guests can also explore Parque del Oeste, which is only a 14-minute walk away. The Plaza de Colón is just 1.9 km away, while Callao underground station is just 500 m from the property. The Regente is in close proximity to Barco bus stop.
Some of the air-conditioned rooms have a balcony and a dining area, and such facilities as high-speed internet, along with coffee/tea making equipment. They offer an oven and glassware.
You may walk 6 minutes to Chocolateria San Gines or eat by Museo del Jamon, located around 5 minutes away by car.
Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at the Regente Hotel in Madrid offered a commendable experience for business travelers. The hotel's central location facilitated easy access to key attractions, important for combining work with leisure. I found the availability of luggage storage free of charge particularly helpful, allowing me to explore the city seamlessly before check-in and after check-out. The hotel features a conference center and meeting room totaling 1076 square feet, designed to accommodate a variety of business needs. Reliable Wi-Fi was a significant advantage, enabling smooth connectivity for remote work. I appreciated the 24-hour reception for any professional inquiries and the cozy bar/lounge area, which served as an ideal spot for informal meetings over refreshments. During my stay, the staff demonstrated a supportive attitude, assisting with inquiries and providing a welcoming atmosphere without intruding on personal spaces. the fitness center offered an excellent way to unwind after a day of meetings. Although a renovation was underway, the essential amenities remained unobstructed. In summary, the Regente Hotel is a practical choice for business travelers who prioritize comfort and efficiency, while also having the opportunity to explore the cultural richness of Madrid around them.
